A custom product is an item managed by your company Custom products can be created from a blank template or by modifying an existing product from an ASI Supplier. To add, update, or manage your custom products for your ESP Website/Company Store, expand the Global Features menu and select Custom Products.


In the Manage Products tab, you can choose to return to the Websites Admin, Search & Copy, or Add a New Product.

You will be brought to the Websites Admin homepage.

Search & Copy

The Search & Copy button will enable you to search for an existing item from an ASI Supplier and customize it to your needs. Use the ESP Web Quick Search bar to enter keywords, a product name or a product number. Use the Narrow Results section to refine your search results and locate the particular product you would like to modify. In the product listing, click on the Create Custom Product link.

The item's information will now be open to modification. You will be brought directly into the Summary tab, but can click on any of the sections to update the information within it.

If I copy a supplier's product, will it be altered when the supplier updates the product?    (click for answer)

No. Once you copy, customize, and save a supplier's product as your own custom item, updating the product's information and pricing will be the responsibility of your company.

Add a New Product

If you would like to build a completely customized item, click on the +Add a New Product button.

The Choose a Product Type window will open prompting you to enter a Product Name, Product Description and Type of Product. Type the Product Name and Product Description in the available boxes. Use the “What type of product are you entering” dropdown to select a product type. When you are finished, click on the Apply button.

You can now begin entering information about this product in the available tabs.


Whether you choose to modify an existing product or create one from a blank template, there are many sections available for updating the item's information.

  • Basic Details:
    Update the general demographics of this product, including product summary, description, category, line/brand name(s), shipping information, safety & compliance, etc. The required fields in this section are Product Name, Description, and Category.
  • Attributes:
    Enter the descriptive information, such as colors, sizes, shapes, materials, and product options. At least one product color must be provided.
  • Imprinting:
    Provide decoration details for this product.
  • Pricing:
    While multiple price grids and upcharges can be added in this section, at least one main base price must be added for this item.
  • Media:
    It is required that all products contain at least one image.
  • SKU:
    If you have SKU (stock keeping unit) information, enter it in this section.
  • Availability:
    If the product is available in multiple colors and various sizes; but certain combinations of these are not available, use this section to define the availablity for this product.
  • Summary:
    This section will display the general information about this item.
